An automatic 4l80e transmission has been installed along with a PCS shift system, allowing for manual gear selection without the use of a traditional stick shift.

It fj45, was equipped with a Toyota 1fzfe engine control system utilizing a distributor-based ignition system. The ignition system was upgraded with an aftermarket conversion to a six-coil independent ignition configuration managed by a Haltech Elite 750 engine control unit. This allowed for more precise fuel and ignition timing control compared to the original distributor setup. Upgrading to a modern engine management system can provide performance and reliability benefits over the life of the vehicle.

The frame has been inspected and any necessary modifications or reinforcements are being performed in order to properly accommodate the new transfer case and drive line configuration

It Toyota FJ40 was modified to receive a 3.0L 1KZ I4 diesel engine and a 5-speed manual transmission (H151). With these upgrades, the FJ40 is able to cruise at highway speeds of 70 miles per hour while still providing strong low-end torque thanks to the lows gear. Fuel economy also saw improvements, with an estimated 26 miles per gallon on the highway using the more efficient 1KZ engine and 5-speed transmission.
